Another somewhat depressing update
There is some sort-of good news. While her prognosis hasn't changed, Jan's mom is alert, talking, and asking when she can go home. She has some weakness and limited movement on her left side and will need some rehab for that, as well as her cancer treatment. It's really Jan I'm worried about. She's not in great health herself, and she won't leave her mom's side, and I just knwo she's not taking her meds like she should.

J had his MRI Tuesday. We don't know the results yet, and might not until Monday when he has his next appointment. I'm not too pleased with his doctor, and once this is over, we'll be looking for another one. J's been out of work nearly 3 weeks. It was only last Friday that his doctor finally completed and faxed his leave of absence forms and short-term disability forms. I was worried J was going to get fired before he did - - they're looking for any excuse to get rid of their longtime employees. And the kicker? We had pay $15 each to get the forms done. In all the time I was sick, and all the forms my doctor did for me, he never charged me a cent. And they still haven't approved J's claim(which should've started on Oct 13th). When J called yesterday, they told him work still had to e-mail them some info before it could be approved.

So we're coming up on 2 weeks with no paycheck for J. Which wouldn't be a huge deal, but we were just seeing light at the end of the tunnel after being behind for *so* long. It seems that we weren't in this bad a shape before I started working again. I know it's because we still had a little savings back then, but still. Our cable and internet will most likely be shut off the first of next week. If I go quieter than usual, you'll know why, so don't worry about me.

Speaking of worrying, I told J I honestly can't remember the last time I *wasn't* worried about anything. The last few years, it's been nothing but worrying over the health of myself, friends and family, not having a job, the ever present money worries... ugh. It's starting to feel a little overwhelming.

Thanks to all of you for your sweet comments and good thoughts. Keep 'em coming, especially for Jan.
